Course Description:
This subject focuses on the aspects of health care reform in Thailand and the international health care delivery systems that impact on nursing care and trends in nursing. Professional role development will be investigated. The course also concentrates on concepts and process of total quality management and hospital accreditation. Especially, the nurses’ roles of total quality management for leading, coaching, and developing a quality management system are included in this course.
General objective:
To gain knowledge in the health care system, nurses’ role development, and hospital quality assurance development.
Specific objectives:
Upon completion of this subject, trainees will be able to:
- Explore aspects and features specific to Thai health care reform and with the international health care delivery systems.
- Analyze the impacts related to current issues and trends in nursing.
- Analyze the professional role development in specialty areas.
- Explore the concepts and process of total quality management and hospital accreditation.
- Examine the nurses’ roles in total quality management.
- Conduct nursing team for developing quality management systems both in ward and in hospital level.

The grading system will comprise of nine scales: A, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D
